The rules for using Ola Mayor. Short, because there is not much to regulate.

Ola Mayor is a fan-built index of football videos. We organise and link; the videos themselves are hosted on YouTube and belong to their rights holders. Nothing here is official, and no club, player or competition endorses it.
Reading needs no account. Voting, commenting, adding clips and saving do. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account counts as done by you. One account per person; accounts created to inflate votes are removed.
You keep the rights to what you write. By adding it you allow us to show it on Ola Mayor and to keep showing it after you leave, in the form described under My account.
Only submit links you may share, and only write things you would say to someone's face. No hate speech, harassment, sexual content, spam or advertising. How contributions are checked, and what we do when one breaks the rules, is under Moderation below.
Olas are status inside this site and nothing else. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and we can correct them if they were earned by manipulation.
What members add is theirs. Comments, clips, quotes, pages and profile pictures come from the members who add them. We do not adopt them as our own and we do not edit them.
Automatic checks. Every contribution goes through an automatic check before or shortly after it appears:
The result is one of three: publish, hold, or reject. Held contributions are checked again automatically. Clips and quotes the check cannot decide are looked at by a person, who approves or rejects them and changes nothing in them.
Reports. If several people report a clip or comment as offensive, sexual or violent, it is hidden automatically until a person has reviewed it. A single report does not do that.
What we can do. If a contribution breaks these rules or the law, we can reject, hide or remove it. For repeated or serious breaches, and for vote manipulation, we can correct Olas and suspend the account for a time or for good. We choose the mildest step that ends the breach, and we respect freedom of expression: criticism of players, of clubs and of us is allowed.
Reasons. If the automatic check rejects a contribution as you submit it, you are told why on the spot. If we act later — after reports, after a second check, or by a person's decision — we email you what we did, why, which rule it rests on, whether the decision was automated, and how you can contest it.
Appeal. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@olamayor.com or reply to the email that gave the reasons. A person looks at it again and answers you. The feedback form does the same, but it needs a working sign-in — which an appeal against a suspension may not have. You are also free to go to court.
If you think something on Ola Mayor is illegal — because it infringes your copyright, harms your reputation or your privacy, or for another reason — report it on the notice page. You do not need an account. We confirm receipt by email, a person reviews every notice promptly, and we tell you what we decided and why. Repeat infringers are recorded.
If a clip or comment only breaks the community rules, Report on the item itself is enough.
We are responsible for our own content under the general laws. What our members add, the videos and posts from YouTube, TikTok and x.com, and links to other sites are different: we do not adopt them as our own and we do not monitor them continuously. When we learn that something is illegal, we remove it, or the reference to it, without delay.
Ola Mayor is in private preview. It can be unavailable, lose features or change without notice, and clips can disappear when the underlying YouTube video does. We are liable as the law requires — nothing here limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health — but we make no promises about availability or fitness for any particular purpose beyond that.
We may change these terms as the site changes. If a change matters to you as a member, we will say so on the site before it takes effect.
This is how other members will see you on every clip you add. You can fill in the rest whenever you like.
Yes — Ola Mayor uses cookies and local storage. Here is every one of them, and what it is for.
A cookie, set by us. om_session — remembers that you passed the preview password so you are not asked on every page. Set for 30 days, and readable only by the server (HttpOnly).
Local storage, set by us. Kept on your device and never sent anywhere: your sign-in (om_auth), saved clips (om_saves), players you follow (om_follows), language (om_lang), display mode (om_theme), your preferences (om_prefs), and an anonymous key so a report is not counted twice (om_anon).
Third party, and only if you tap it. A post from X shows as a still image. Tapping it loads X's own player — so the video plays here and the creator is credited with the view — and X then sets its own cookies, which we do not control. Do not tap it and nothing is ever requested from X. YouTube clips use youtube-nocookie.com and load only when you press play.
What we do not do: advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or selling your data. To clear everything we store, clear this site's data in your browser.
